About Domain Authority:
Basically, domain trust refers to a variety of signals about a site that the search engines use to determine legitimacy
Does the domain have a history in the engine? Do lots of people search for and use the domain? Does the domain have high quality links pointing to it from other trustworthy sources? Does the domain link out primarily to other trusted sites? Do analytics and registration information and temporal link growth fit with expected patterns?.

Quality of Incoming Links
Linking to you from trusted Sources
- .org. gov sources
- Directories:
- DMOZ
- Yahoo
- Mentioned in Press
- Social Media presence
The age of the links is also important, for example if you had 10 links and suddenly thenext week you had 4000, this would seem suspisions in Googles eyes and would raise flags.
Google likes to see steady increases in fresh links as well as old exsisitng ones maintanined.

Traffic Levels and Server Stability
If traffic levels are steadily increasing over time with no excessive spikes, it is generally seen as a good thing by search engines, because this represents a natural growth in traffic
Traffic Levels External Measurement
External measurement is only used as a guide and not true measurement of a site traffic.
There are 3 (free) tools to use:
Alexa (the most well known)
Complete (Supposed to be more accurate)
Quantcast (The new one also measure widget activity)
Traffic Levels Internal Measurement
We use smarter stats at report.ddacorp.com to analyze website log files, we also use Google Analytics, these tool give slightly different measurements of traffic as one uses log data and the other javascript embebed tags
Server Stability
Hard to test but the more reliable and fast the server the better.
